HOWTO remove/re-install MacIntosh Automator

HOW TO remove / reinstall Apple MacIntosh Automator application
( for Snow Leopard )

Read the following :  this
http://guides.macrumors.com/Uninstalling_Applications_in_Mac_OS_X#Using_Finder_to_remove_Application_Bundles_and_Additional_Files

Search for automator  using the Spotlight application  or ( Houdah application )

I found and trashed the .......
plist
the application
the automator files in the library

========================
One way other than doing a reinstall is to download Pacifist and use that to reinstall Automator. Pacifist allows you to reinstall 'specific' Apps etc off your Tiger Install DVD.

===============================================
OS X installer procedure
Choose Optional Installs

Choose Optional Installs.mpkg

I hit a dead end using Apple supplied installer so I used *Pacifist* ....................  see above

==============================================

I used an unregistered copy of Pacifist to open my Snow Leopard install DVD ...
Pacifist took about 15 minutes to extract the packages.

Once you figure out some of the quirks of Pacifist .... it works very well....
I registered for $20

Open Source ( FLOSS ) contest

I am interested in sponsoring an open source coding contest.

 The winner would receive prize money  ( probably $1000 ) for successfully completing all milestones.  I am looking for suggestions, advice , alliances.  Where to publicize the contest ?   Where to post the final result ?

Contest would be to develop an app for a RaspberryPi. It has Debian Wheezy with Python installed on an SD card. End product will be fully FLOSS ( open sourced ). I can supply a code image of what has been done so far.

Milestones

 #1 Verify that Linux/OpenCV/Python package on RBPI is functional and can be replicated.

#2 Develop OpenCV app to count pills .... pills will be very high contrast.

#3 Develop OpenCV app to detect oncoming vehicle and compute its speed.

#4 Develop OpenCV app to read dials and alphanumerics.

Webcams used may vary from 0.3Mpx to 6Mpx.
App should be reliable... fast response is NOT crucial.

 OpenCV info ==> opencv.willowgarage.com

Desired skills..... "can he do the job ?" Joe vs the Volcano

Payment in cash for negotiated milestones being completed and transferred to me........
 Results will be Public Domain and will be posted publicly.   [ Software , source code, diagrams, suggested webcams , hardware documentation ]

Thanks

DIY How to create a URL that has GPS coordinates

DIY How to create a URL that has GPS coordinates embedded [ imbedded ? ]

If you have some GPS coordinates and you want to put a live link into your email.... I found the instructions below to work.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&q=27.986633,86.923563%20%28Mount%20Everest%20Peak%29

Starting at the first %20  you can insert a description
%28 is a left bracket (
%29 is a right bracket )
%20 is a space

do not remove the first %20%28    or the last %29

It is tricky to get string correctly mapped out with proper case .... I used the textedit app to clean up the string and make it plain text.
Then I pasted it into an email.

Tricky but fun when it works......
