Project Ara ( ProjectAra ) was a very exciting concept and project when announced by Google. It appeared that the project was going to develop a modular mobile phone. see history here. The announcements seemed to suggest that ProjectAra would be attentive to small developers ; that PA would honor the spirit of OpenIP ; that PA would use the suggestions of many enthusiasts to improve the design of the phone see IPPP .
Openess has not occurred. Sharing has been minimal.
I don't mean to be extremely critical. An opportunity for Google to be exceptional has been missed.
