I bought it on eBay for $18.50 ( free shipping took two weeks )
Mine is version 1.6
The WR came with an IP address 192.168.1.1....... It was very touchy aboutwho it would talk to... the MacBook I had had to be set to a netmask of 255.255.255.0 and an address of 192.168.1.222.
The logon screen asks for a name and password these are admin ... admin
next you get a screen full of chinese characters
Now it is time to load some new firmware of your choice.....
I loaded a ddwrt package
Then I configured the network and wireless settings....
everything is working great
